TESTIMONIALS

What Our Clients Say

Extremely professional, highly recommend. We were working on a major hurricane. We had problems with our crane, they had a crane in the area and offered to help us as they saw we were in distress. Thank you guys for taking the time out of your day to come and provide some help for us. As we were struggling with our equipment. I greatly appreciate you guys. Be safe out there.
Polite, courteous, hardworking. They showed up after Hurricane Idalia took 6 very large pine trees in our yard down like matchsticks - one of them on our house. They never slowed down through the rain and muddy mess and helped get tarps on our roof. Don’t know what we would have done without them.
My husband and I love Cale! When we first moved here in Lewisburg almost five years ago, Cale helped us clear our property and took down a bunch of trees, ground down the stumps, cleaned up afterwards and all for a very fair price! We are happy to see his continued success and growth but not at all surprised. Highly recommend Top Notch!
Great service! I highly recommend Tristan James for anyone needing tree services. Tristan was professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with from start to finish. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made sure I understood my options without feeling pressured.
Cale and his crew did an amazing job removing an 80+ ft poplar that had hollowed out right next to our house and another tree that was actually leaning over the house. They came out quickly, were extremely knowledgeable, careful to not break our sprinklers, didn't mess up the lawn one bit, and neatly stacked some logs for firewood.
The crew was on time, very professional and down to earth with hospitality! The tools used to safely bring the trees down in tight areas was SO cool! It was operated from standing on the ground by remote control for the "claw saw" and was AWESOME to watch! We are highly satisfied with their service and DEFINITELY recommend them!

Marshall County Climate and Tree Risk Factors

Middle Tennessee’s mix of severe thunderstorm season, tornado risk, winter ice, and clay-heavy soil puts real, ongoing stress on trees throughout Marshall County. Understanding what actually drives tree failure here is the foundation of the work we do.

Key Tree Risk Factors in Marshall County

Hazard Factor How It May Affect Trees
Tornadoes and Straight-Line Winds Marshall County sits in an active severe weather corridor. An EF-3 tornado tracked through the Chapel Hill area of this county in May 2024, and straight-line winds over 90 mph tore through Lewisburg itself in 2017. This region takes storm risk seriously, and so should property owners with mature trees near their homes.
Severe Thunderstorms Spring and summer bring fast-moving thunderstorm lines with damaging wind gusts that snap weak limbs and topple shallow-rooted trees, often with far less warning than a tornado.
Ice Storms Winter ice events load branches with weight they were never built to carry, and Middle Tennessee sees enough of them to make winter storm prep worthwhile.
Clay Soil Conditions Much of Marshall County sits on clay-heavy soil that drains slowly and compacts easily, encouraging shallower rooting and reducing a tree’s anchorage in high wind.
Saturated Ground After Heavy Rain Trees that would otherwise hold firm can topple when heavy rain saturates the soil right before a wind event, since waterlogged clay loses much of its holding strength.
Summer Heat and Humidity Stress Hot, humid Tennessee summers stress trees already weakened by drought, disease, or storm damage, and increase pressure from pests and fungal disease.
Emerald Ash Borer Confirmed across Tennessee, emerald ash borer kills ash trees within a few years of infestation, and dead ash becomes brittle and hazardous quickly.
Aging Farm and Fence-Line Trees Marshall County’s mix of rural and semi-rural properties often has older trees along fence lines and farm boundaries that have never had professional attention and are overdue for evaluation.
How to Protect Your Trees in Marshall County

How to Protect Your Trees in Marshall County

  • Have trees near your home inspected before spring storm season. Deadwood removal and weight reduction done in a calm month is what keeps limbs off your roof in a storm.
  • Watch for signs of root failure after heavy rain, especially a sudden new lean, since saturated clay soil loses much of its holding strength.
  • Check fence-line and farm-boundary trees on rural property, which often go years without professional attention.
  • Have dead ash trees evaluated and removed promptly, since emerald ash borer damage makes the wood brittle and unpredictable.
  • Never let anyone top your trees. It creates a more hazardous tree, not a safer one.
